&lt;p&gt;Accurate estimation of paleo-basin depths is essential, as it affects the results of prediction of oil and gas occurrence. This is primarily due to its influence on the thermobaric conditions affecting the key components of hydrocarbon systems, particularly, hydrocarbon source strata. The study of analogs allows for a thorough analysis of the results obtained from calculations specific to each basin. The article emphasizes that most of the complexes being examined are of shallow-marine or continental nature, which distinguishes them from the pre-Caspian mega-basin, where salts are situated beneath deep-water sediments. However, these complexes offer valuable insights that can help refine the model and improve subsequent prediction of oil and gas occurrence.&lt;/p&gt;
<kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>evaporite complex</kwd><kwd>salt basin</kwd><kwd>Permian period</kwd><kwd>Pangaea supercontinent</kwd><kwd>cyclostratigraphy</kwd><kwd>paleobasin depth</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="kk"><kwd>эвапорит кешені</kwd><kwd>солерод бассейні</kwd><kwd>Пермь кезеңі</kwd><kwd>Пангея суперконтиненті</kwd><kwd>циклостратиграфия</kwd><kwd>палеобассейн тереңдігі</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>эвапоритовый комплекс</kwd><kwd>солеродный бассейн</kwd><kwd>пермский период</kwd><kwd>суперконтинент Пангея</kwd><kwd>циклостратиграфия</kwd><kwd>глубина палеобассейна</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Iskaziyev KO, Syngaevskyi PE, Khafizov SF.
