Abstract

Abstract. Cathodic protection is an effective method of preventing pipeline corrosion, extending their service life. This study examines the principles of calculating cathodic protection stations, key design parameters, and factors influencing their efficiency. The characteristics of power sources, methods of electrode potential regulation, and system reliability are analyzed. The importance of optimizing current levels, proper electrode placement, and continuous monitoring is emphasized. Diagnostic and maintenance methods are also considered. These measures ensure the safe operation of pipelines, reduce repair costs, and prevent accidents.
